A small product for the weekly shop.

PrePicked is a free web app and Chrome extension that writes a full themed grocery list tailored to your store's brands and your budget — in seconds. No account. No chatbot. No subscription. Here is what it is, who it is for, and why we are building it the way we are.

Online grocery shopping — the thing that was supposed to save us time — somehow still takes forty-five minutes. Search for pasta. Scroll. Add. Search for sauce. Filter by brand. Add. Realize you forgot bread. Repeat, eighteen items deep, twice a week, for the rest of your life. The list gets written from scratch, line by line, every single time.

We thought someone should fix that. Not with another meal-kit subscription, not with a recipe-to-cart tool that works on some grocery chains but not yours, not with a chatbot that needs a long conversation before it does anything useful. Just a small, honest tool that turns a theme — Taco Tuesday for four, Healthy reset on fifty dollars, Whatever the kids will actually eat — into a complete shopping list, tailored to your store's brands and capped to your budget, in seconds.

"You bring the craving. PrePicked writes the list. The rest of the trip is yours."

§ What PrePicked is

A free web app and Chrome extension.

PrePicked runs as a web app at getprepicked.com and as a browser extension. You give it a theme, a store, and a budget, and it writes a complete grocery list tailored to that store's brands and price tier. Copy it, save it, share it, or turn it into a recipe — then take it shopping however you like, online or in person. We never handle your money. We never ask for your credit card. We never create an account for you.

§ Who it is for

People who would like the time back.

Busy parents who would rather be doing anything else at 9 p.m. on a Sunday. Couch shoppers who want the order done before the next episode. Meal-planners who hate meal-planning. People on a tight budget who want a list that respects the budget. People on a generous budget who want a list that stocks the pantry without them thinking about it. Anyone who has ever stared at the fridge and wished the list would just write itself.

§ How we stay free

Retailer affiliate commissions. That's it.

PrePicked is free. It will always be free. We pay for the servers and the sandwiches with commissions retailers may pay us when you shop through links we provide. You pay the same price you would pay without us. The affiliate model is the oldest web business model there is; we disclose it fully on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

§ The long view

A community of lists.

The long-term vision for PrePicked is a small community where users share the lists they have built — the $42 taco night for four, the $98 week of dinners that doesn't repeat, the $26 game-night haul — and maybe earn a small cut when other people shop from them. A tiny economy of good ideas about groceries, surfaced to people who would benefit from them.

We are not there yet. We are pre-launch. We are building in public. We publish drops on four channels — see contact — and we read every email we get. If you have thoughts about what PrePicked should do next, we actually want them.

§ Where we are

Issue 001, spring 2026.

The web app is live and free; the Chrome extension is close behind. Lists are tailored to eight stores today — Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Target, Aldi, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and any generic store. The website you are reading now is the first issue of what we call the Grocery Circular — our occasional dispatch on what we are building, what is working, and what is breaking. Subscribe, or do not. Either way, we are glad you stopped by.
